neceser tela teñida a mano y cuero / Hand dyed fabric and leather: a pouch

This pouch is made with a hand dyed fabric, a scrap of brown leather and a metal zipper

I love the look of hand dyed fabric, it makes each piece unique. A luxury. If you want to know more about my dying experiments, you can check my blog here or here

I can, at last, show the bag I made as a Christmas present for my husband. G. is a big fan of cycling he rides almost everyday and carries his apparel everywhere we go. It drove me mad that he carried everything in a plastic shopping bag, as if we didn't have enough  bags at home...

I chose a linen from Ikea and a grey cotoon for the interior and I screen printed both with bikes. I used both a cotton light interfacing and adhesive wadding and I really liked the result

You can find the free pattern by noodlehead here. I altered it a bit by not adding pockets and lining it. This is my third cargo bag and what I found most useful is covering the zipper ends which gives the bag a polished finish that I love. You can see my other duffles here and here

Regalo único, artesanal y exclusivo. ¿Qué os parece?
A unique, handmade and exclusive gift. What do you think?

Nuevo año: quilt con triángulos / New year: triangle quilt

¡¡¡Feliz Año Nuevo!!!
Happy New Year!!
Time flies and here we are in a brand new year, ready to start new projects and to finish up (my every year resolution) the projects I left behind
My mother keeps asking me what I'm going to do with all the fabrics I have dyed so far. What do you think? Of course, I'm doing a quilt. But not any quilt, I'm doing my first ever equilateral triangle quilt!
